How to store high-strength bolt materials?

High strength bolts such as 12.9 bolt, 10.9 bolt, 8.8 bolts

1 Technical requirements for high strength bolts grade

1) High-strength bolts should meet the following specifications:

The technical indicators of high-strength bolts must meet the relevant requirements of ASTM A325 steel structural bolt grades and types, ASTM F436 hardened steel washers specifications, and ASTM A563 nuts.

2) In addition to meeting the standards of ASTM A325 and ASTM A307, the geometry of the bolt should also meet the requirements of B18.2.1 in ANSI. In addition to meeting the standards of ASTMA 563, nuts should also meet the requirements of ANSI B18.2.2.

3) Suppliers certify high-strength bolts, nuts, washers and other parts of fastening assemblies to ensure that the bolts to be used are identifiable and meet the applicable requirements of ASTM specifications. High-strength bolts are assembled by the manufacturer in batches For supply, the manufacturer must provide a product quality guarantee certificate per batch.

4) The supplier must provide lubricated nuts that have been tested with the high-strength bolts provided.

2. high strength bolts for steel structure Storage of bolts

1) High-strength bolts must be rain-proof, moisture-proof, and sealed during transportation and storage, and must be installed and unloaded lightly to prevent damage to the threads.

2) After high-strength bolts enter the site, they must be inspected according to regulations. Only after passing the inspection can it be put into inventory and used for production.

3) Each batch of high-strength bolts should have a factory certificate. Before the bolts are put into storage, each batch of bolts should be sampled and inspected. When high-strength bolts are put into storage, the manufacturer, quantity, brand, type, specification, etc. should be checked, and the batch number and specifications (marked (length and diameter) are stored in complete sets, and are protected against moisture and dust during storage. In order to prevent corrosion and surface condition changes, open storage is strictly prohibited.

4) High-strength bolts should be stored in categories according to the batch number and specifications indicated on the packaging box. They should be stored in overhead storage indoors and should not be stacked more than five layers. Do not open the box at will during the storage period to prevent rust and contamination.

5) At the installation site, the bolts should be placed in a sealed container to avoid the influence of dust and moisture. Bolts with accumulated rust and dust shall not be used in construction unless they are requalified in accordance with ASTM F1852.
